Royal Ascot Day Two

Royal Ascot Day Two

Byword is The word to success today

As soon as Paco Boy got touched off in the opener it was downhill from then on for the site with no winners to enjoy, however today on day two is another day to put the bookies to the sword.

2.30 Quarrel never got going in the softish ground last time out at Haydock and his wins have come on good to firm, the faster ground will see a big improvement today in the Jersey Stakes. 16/1 never a factor big disappointment

3.05 Spacious needs today's sort of going to be seen at his best and a mile is also spot on for this really tough cookie, expect a bold show in the Windsor Forest Stakes. 2nd 13/2 just got touched off in an exciting finish

3.50 The Prince of Wales stakes can see the French runner Byword take a big hand at the finish, Andre Fabre has not sent him over to make up the numbers. WON 5/2 to land the Nap selection in good style, given a nice ride

4.25 The Royal Hunt Cup is a big betting race and Supaseus fresh from a break of 243 days could well be the one to be on. A game front-runner the Morrison horse will be primed to burn off his rivals under a big weight of 9-8. It will be a tough task but he is up to it at decent odds.

5.00 The Queen Mary looks tricky as ever but Meow from the Wachman stable looks interesting, Johnny Murtagh takes the ride.

5.35 is the Sandringham handicap over a mile and the Sir Michael Stoute runner Safina holds strong claims in what looks a hard race to figure out.

Selections

2.30 Quarrel     unplaced

3.05 Spacious    2nd 13/2

3.50 Byword (Nap)    WON 5/2

4.25 Supaseus

5.00 Meow

5.35 Safina

Mafli to win it for France

Royal Ascot Day One

French to go home with the pound notes

It may pay to follow Som Tala in the Ascot Stakes at 5.00 with a track record of 355 over 2miles 4f he could well make his stamina pay in what looks a sub standard renewal.

Kingsgate Native may be best over 6f but a clear run could well see him go close.

Mafki looks useful and can take the big race of the day at 3.50, he is today's Nap selection.

Ascot selections

2.30 Paco Boy

3.05 Kingsgate Native

3.50 Makfi (Nap)

4.25 Klammer

5.00 Som Tala

5.35 Dingle View

World Cup fever is worth a bet

World Cup outlook

With Russevansracing

The World Cup groups can bring in the money

The World Cup starts tomorrow with over 60 games to have a bet on during the next month however it is best to treat the first round games with a lot of caution. Draws are quite common with teams trying hard not to lose their first game and even England's game against the USA has draw written all over despite what the odds the bookies are offering. DRAW 1-1

I will start off with one acca bet that looks good value and that is for New Zealand and Honduras to each lose their three group games. Odds of over 6/1 are on offer and that looks the bet of the group games to me.

Out of all of the group games these look likely draws and are listed in match order so here goes (odds shown are from Betfred)

Higlighted games are best bets advice

South Africa v Mexico 23/10            1-1 correct result

Uruguay v France 23/10                       0-0 correct result

Korea Republic v Greece 21/10           2-0 incorrect result

England v USA 100/30                      1-1 correct result

Ivory Coast v Portugal 9/4                0-0 correct result

South Africa v Uruguay 9/4

Greece v Nigeria 11/5

Slovenia v USA 9/4

Ghana v Australia 11/5

Cameroon v Denmark 11/5

Chile v Switzerland 9/4

Mexico v Uruguay 11/5

The following games for a win result

Argentina to beat Nigeria 4/9          1-0 correct result

Slovenia to beat Algeria 6/5                 1-0 correct result

Serbia to beat Ghana 11/10                 0-1 incorrect result

Germany to beat Australia 8/15      4-0 correct result

Holland to beat Denmark 8/15            2-0 correct result

Cameroon to beat Japan 23/20           0-1 incorrect result

Italy to beat Paraguay evens           1-1 incorrect result

Slovakia to beat New Zealand 4/9   1-1 incorrect result

Brazil to beat Korea DPR 1/9          2-1 correct result

Chile to beat Honduras 4/7              1-0 correct result

Spain to beat Switzerland 2/7

Argentina to beat Korea Republic 4/11

France to beat Mexico 10/11

Germany to beat Serbia 4/5

England to beat Algeria 1/4

Holland to beat Japan 4/11

Paraguay to beat Slovakia 10/11

Italy to beat New Zealand 1/7

Brazil to beat Ivory Coast 4/7

Portugal to beat Korea DPR 1/5

Spain to beat Honduras 1/7

France to beat South Africa 8/11

Nigeria to beat Korea Republic 10/11

Argentina to beat Greece 4/7

England to beat Slovenia 2/5

USA to beat Algeria 4/5

Germany to beat Ghana 8/11

Serbia to beat Australia evens

Italy to beat Slovakia 8/15

Paraguay to beat New Zealand 1/3

Denmark to beat Japan evens

Holland to beat Cameroon 4/6

Brazil to beat Portugal 4/5

Ivory Coast to beat Korea DPR 2/9

Spain to beat Chile 8/13

Switzerland to beat Honduras 8/11

I can't see there being many upsets but the toughest group involves Portugal and Ivory Coast who will be fighting it out to be runners up to Brazil, I think the result between the two teams will be a draw (drew 0-0) so goal difference will more than likely decide who goes through. Korea DPR will probably lose all three of their games but it is them that will hold the key to who of the above mentioned teams go though by goals conceded.

I won't look beyond the group stages at the moment, as there is enough to be getting on with but good luck with your bets.

The site will be back next week for the Royal Ascot meeting so watch this space.

Top weight should carry the diamonds over the line first

Sunday 9th May 2010

Yes to Not For Diamonds

Loads of racing for punters today, all shown on ATR however the standard is pretty poor and some of the races over the meetings look almost impossible to call and therefore are overlooked.

At Killarney the site expects Natal to come good on ground he will appreciate and after showing up midway in his last few races expect him to go all the way to the winning line today at 4.25.

Todays Nap selection runs at Plumpton where the ground is pretty quick and that will suit C&D top weight Not For Diamonds who will receive a handy 7lbs claim for his jockey Kevin Jones. The race looks poor and many of the selections best rivals on paper prefer more ease in the ground so it looks like a bit of value can be gained from the Nap.

Nikos Extra needs that little bit of extra today which he should deliver to gain a deserved success in the 4.20 at Worcester.

Hills to land the guineas

Sunday 2nd May 2010

Rumoush to power to 1000g

With typical bank holiday weather sweeping the country it is time to cheer us up with a winner of three, well that’s the plan. The second day of the Newmarket meeting takes place with the 1000 guineas and after a 33/1 shocker yesterday in the 2000, the site is confident that a more fancied runner will take today’s big race. Rumoush has done nothing wrong with two wins from two including a useful course win and it is that experience which will put the Richard Hills ride first past the post, at 7/1 the value is still there and a decent bet should be made.

In the opening race at HQ Hillview Boy could go very close with ground and stamina being no problem, at double figure odds a each way bet is the best advice.

Golden Desert in the 3.55 is much better than his last few runs at the back end of last season so expect a good run after being freshened up for a seasonal return. The faster ground will really suit and Jimmy Fortune can get a right old tune out the Mills trained runner.

Today’ selections

Newmarket

2.05 Hillview Boy

2.40 Spacious

3.20 Rumoush

3.55 Golden Desert

5.40 September Morn

4.15 Hawk Mountain

Murphy charge to carry on from Cheltenham

Saturday 17th April 2010

Poker to play his cards right again today in the marathon

Ayr takes the centre stage today with the Scottish Grand National the main event at 3.20. The 4 miles marathon trip should be ideal for the Ferdy Murphy's Poker De Sivola who recently won the National Hunt Chase at the Cheltenham Festival. Graham Lee is back in the plate today and the good going will also be a major plus, he is a strong advice and takes the Nap selection.

Another very strong bet is Quito De Tresor who will be suited to the step back in trip after just hanging on over 4f further at the last meeting. Campbell Giles takes an handy 3lbs off the bottom weight and he should be a good betting price for us.

Credit Swap looks the one to be on in the Spring Handicap at Newbury.

Today's selected advises

Golden Silver to take top spot in the mud

The site was in cracking form yesterday leading up to the Grand National meeting, which starts this Thursday at Aintree so be sure to check in as the Liverpool course is one of the most profitable tracks for this information page.

In combinations the site had a cracking 887/1 four timer at Fairyhouse including the Irish National winner Bluesea Cracker (one of three selections) and when highlighted horses Psycho and Barneys Honour both winning well it was hard not to be in profit. At Plumpton the site gave five selections however with one of them being a non runner the other four all duly obliged in a nice 68/1 four timer.

Today's Nap runs at Fairyhouse in the 3.35 where Golden Silver can defy top weight, Paul Townsend knows the horse very well and the Mullins charge goes in the heavy, a nice price should be had.    WON 9/2 as expected

What does the site fancy for this week Grand National? Check in a bit later in the week where two big priced runners take the eye.

Fairyhouse

2.00 Tiernans Terror    unplaced

2.30 Doctor Deejay    3rd 2/1

Ruby to be our diamond

Easter Monday 5th April 2010

Kerb has plenty of appeal

Plenty of racing today on Easter Monday with the meeting at Fairyhouse taking the main action with the Irish Grand National at 4.05. In the National the site has put up three selections but with a slight preference for Ambobo who was still running a good race when falling in the race last season. He is a good price and the advice is a decent each way bet at around 20/1. Moskova if he stays can go close as he has won three of his last chases at the course and at 16/1 could be good value. The sites third selection Bluesea Cracker wins the National at 25/1

Psycho has been in cracking form this term and is expected to go on again and win his tace at 5.15.   WON 5/4

It may pay to follow Sir Punjabi at Fakenham, he has run with some credit in his races so far without really troubling the judge but off bottom weight in the 3.15 he could well spring a surprise for his triner Lucy Wadham who knows the light of day.   3rd 9/2

The last race of the day at Fairyhouse is a real cracker but the site goes for Barneys Honor who will need to turn around a little bit of form with a couple of his rivals, but he can do it and expect a late run when he does.    WON 100/30

Today's Nap runs at Fairyhouse where Kerb Appeal with Ruby Walsh can make it three wins from his last four races, a strong betting Nap which is on offer at around 4/1 in the morning papers.    disappointing

UPDATE.......Please not Warwick has been abandoned due to a waterlogged course....UPDATE

Tough going but some profit can be had

Saturday 22nd January 2010

Mac to continue to win domination for the site!

Today’s racing has an impossible look about it so watch those bets and more importantly, stakes.

Tarquinius put up a good performance to finish second behind website Nap Master Overseer in the Sussex National at Plumpton around Christmas and will not be found wanting at the end of this 3m 4f trip. Assuming that race did not take too much out of him he looks spot on to win the Haydock 1.45.      Non Runner

Afsoun is getting a bit old in the tooth these days but he likes Haydock and will be running on at the end in the mud after the last. Providing he is not to much attached from the other at the last flight he can make up some lost ground on what is a marathon run in to the post, could be an interesting race with his Champion hurdler stable mate Punjabi.

Strawberry always obliges for the site when given a mention, so let’s hope the trend continues and the likeable mare cam complete the hat trick in ground and trip she likes. pulled up

Emma Lavelle has her string in good heart and her Kilcrea Castle looks to hold an outstanding chance at Ascot in the 3.45, the ground will suit just nicely as all of the selections runs have nearly all come in the mud back home in Ireland.  3rd 10/1

Mamlook is a useful but frustrating sort who is getting hard to win with, connections have tried all sorts of trips and she runs well on all types of ground so what is the key to her? A late run off a fast pace seems to bring the best out of her so lets hope for a furious pace and a well judges run from jockey Hadden Frost  WON 10/1

Petit Robin can turn over his main rivals in the Victor Chandler Chase, it won’t be easy but his last race was proof enough the fitness and willing is there.  2nd 15/8

Steiemac can continue to roll on and win the big handicap hurdle at Leopardstown, he has been very progressive and impressive, he will take a lot of stopping so get on Today’s website Nap selection.

Bubbly Bellini should have landed the Nap selection last time out when throwing away a 4L lead inside the final furlong; he drifted badly to the left and lost the race by a short nose. He owes us one and needs to steer a straight line, is that too much to ask for? WON 9/4 fom 4/1

A right old Party in the opener at leafy

Friday 22nd January 2010

It's time to Party!

Lingfield looks the best card to concentrate on today with a good card to get stuck into and the site feels the selections will all go close. In the opener Party In The Park has been knocking on the door and is due a win so hopefully jockey Matthew Davies can guide the Nap selection past the post this time.

Show Us How To Do It

Thursday 21st January 2010

An excellent show today is on the cards

The site enjoyed a nice four timer at Punchestown yesterday with all the 7 selections in the top three giving us a good run for our money.

Some average runners on display today but Wolverhampton and Gowran Park host two good meetings. Excellent Show has been running really well and was unlucky last time out when just beaten on the line; he can make amends today in the Wolver 4.50 and is today’s Nap.

Powerstation looked useful last time out when winning and although he faces a much stiffer test in the 1.35 he can make the others all go.

Beroni has been superb this term and although a big field Ruby Walsh can make another win on him with a clear passage.

Today’s selections

A hot Nap today

Wednesday 20th January 2010

A flame to shine on the all weather

A few nice winners for the site yesterday including a nice 10/1 and 11/1 back to back winners at Southwell being the highlight.

Today the site is expecting most success at Kempton Park’s mid to early evening meeting so take note of the selections especially Crimson Flame which takes the Nap selection of the day. A couple of recent good efforts will be rewarded under the hands of jockey Robert Winston.

New bury is under attack from some reported heavy snow so it’s fingers crossed that the white stuff misses the Berkshire track, but it’s in the lap of the Gods.

Seek The Truth holds a good chance in the 3.25 at Newcastle and Senor Shane should win again all being well at Newbury.

Dream of a Nap today

Tuesday 18th January 2010

Folk off, but the Nap should be on

We should be thankful that jumps racing has recently returned to action but looking at the Folkestone card on offer today, we would be better if the snow had stayed on the track. I have never seen such a poor bunch of runners competing in every race, forget the form just a pin will do and on that note, the site will decline from posting any selections from the meeting.

The Nap runs in Ireland and looks to have a very good chance of going one better than last time out when second at the course when going down a shd to Fivestar Allstars 47 days ago. With trainer and jockey in good form expect plenty of betting on the Nap, Hearthstead Dream.

Goodbye Cash did it nicely last time out and is poised to complete the hat trick at Wolverhampton in the 3.50.

Dan Buoy should strip much fitter than his rivals in the Southwell 3.00 after three recent spins on the all weather, will his fitness be enough? I do hope so. WON 10/1

Envoy could be back to his very best

Sunday 17th January 2010

Vinny to win

What a frustrating day for the site yesterday with loads of runners up but there was a shining light in Michael Flips who won the Lanzarote Hurdle at 9/1.

Special Envoy is back on the trail again after losing his way two seasons back, he was tipped for the top and the way his trainer is going of late he could well be back to his best and if so will take these in his stride, watch the betting market.

Today’s Nap runs at Fairyhouse where Cousin Vinny after two seconds needs to get back to winning ways; this is a decent opportunity to do so. Nap

Welcome back the jumps

Saturday 16th January 2010

Jumps back on the trail today!

Finally we will get to see some jumps racing in England tomorrow with Huntingdon and Kempton getting the all clear plus a card at Naas in Ireland as well.

Lingfield continues to fly the flag for the all weather tracks today and the site is expecting a few winners form the selections below. Clear Sailing and inform Lisahane Bog should carry on where they left off last time out with victory.

At Kempton the site is very keen on Spear Thistle landing the odds in the last race after a good win last time out at Lingfield in the heavy by 6L. It is hard to see him not winning and his today’s Nap selection with much confidence.

Mad Max and Michael Flips are both on the comeback trail for two reasons, Mad Max has not run for over 300 days and Flips has lost his way from early last season.

Today’s selections

The victory Bell will toll in the 2.20 at Southwell

Thursday 14th January 2010

Pop open some Bubbly at Southwell

We might be lucky today and get away with three all weather meetings, so its fingers crossed. Lingfield inspect at 9.30am after having Wednesday’s meetings called off due to heavy snow, but things are much brighter this time round.

The website Nap’s have been going well this week with 2 out of 2 although the prices have not been great both selections have won very well as predicted so long may the winners continue.

Bubbly Bellini never seems to run a bad race and deserves another success; it should come in the Southwell 2.20 and get the Nap nod.

Excellent Show in the first at Wolverhampton and Tribe in the last at Lingfield should both give good accounts and get their noses in front.

Southwell and Kempton get green light

Let’s get High on a looney!

Well the snow has re surfaced again causing even more chaos to the country but Southwell and Kempton have been given the green light to race this afternoon giving us something to watch and hopefully win a few bob in the process.

Fair play to Southwell for putting on a card of bumper races for the National Hunt boys and Brackloon High from the in form Noel Chance takes today’s Nap. The Nap won nicely last time out and he looks a progressive sort in the making and will be too good for his rivals. WON 2/1

Kempton actually stages a decent card with plenty of runners, let’s hope after three inspections (passed) that the weather relents in the afternoon and causes no further problems. Red Suede Shoes in the last race looks the pick and warrants a good bet.

Today’s selections

Southwell

12.30 Takamaru     Withdrawn

1.00 Benartic     WON 4/6

1.30 Woolfall Hawk

2.05 Chef Junior

Russian to complete another win

Just the one selection today and that runs in the Southwell 1.50 where RUSSIAN MUSIC (NAP) is the bet of the day. Going for the hat trick under top weight with a 6lbs penalty, the in form Ian Williams runner will be suited even more to the step up to 2 miles. Hard to oppose.

WON EVENS easy win by 6L doubling your money in the process

Lets have some Fun today

Sunday 10th January 2010

Lets add a bit of Funshine to our winter

Just the one meeting in Britain today with six races at Southwell, which is covered live by ATR.

Official going is slow and judging by the last meeting it was a hard slog getting through the surface with many of the winners coming from runners held up in the van from the off. The first four races the site is confident of it’s selections but the last two races are pretty much impossible to back with confidence. The 3.20 selection goes to Outer Hebrides who has little bits of form to go on but no bet is the advice in the race.

The Nap runs in the opener where Mr Funshine holds an excellent chance over the minimum trip of 5f. His record is two wins from two when the going is slow so the 9/2 looks very good value and a bet is strongly recommended.

Dan Buoy can follow up again on this surface after producing a 20/1 shock the other day when getting up by a neck. He has been brought out again dropped in grade and runs off bottom weight, he can’t be missed.

Elusive Fame can win the 2.50; he has a big turn around in the weight with his victor Follow The Flag 8 days ago and should be good enough to justify his place at the head of the market.

Today’s selections

Southwell

1.20 Mr Funshine (Nap)

1.50 Inside Story

2.20 Dan Buoy

2.50 Elusive Fame

3.20 Outer Hebrides

3.50 Bowmaker

Two names for the price of WON

Saturday 9th January 2010

Nap to cheer us all up for winter

It’s a tough time for the racing industry (and everyone else) but hopefully the all weather will give us some Saturday racing to get stuck into today. OK the grade is pretty low but there should be a couple of decent form lines to have a go on.

Benandonner has a useful draw in stall 1 for the 2.10 at Lingfield, quickly into his stride he should be able to get to the front and dictate. If jockey Martin Dwyer gets to the first bend first then he can get the Mike Murphy trained runner home at a good price. It’s been a while since the Nap selection last ran at the Surrey track but when he did he won over course and distance. Was running a good race and in contention when barged out of the way by the eventual winner along the rail, No stewards enquiry or mention by ATR, disgraceful

Tiddliwinks should be good enough to make it a quick double despite having top weight in the Kempton 2.55. WON 10/11

Bilberry could well get his head in front if he decides to turn up and want to race, he has the talent and form but is a bit of a monkey when he wants to.

Don't overlook the master

Sunday 3rd January 2010

Follow the master all the way round

Well the good news is that Plumpton passed a second inspection today giving the go ahead of the At The Races Sussex National over 3 miles 5f at 2.20. The ground is heavy which will suit the David Pipe favourite Master Overseer who has done nothing wrong this season. Although it’s not a forgone conclusion in this marathon trip, he will be hard to beat and the 5/1 looks good value. WON 9/2

Istiqdaam looks a winner in the Kempton 2.35 and the 5/2 on offer still looks a good value bet. 3rd 4/1

Ranjobaie will be looking for some pay back after falling when going really well at Leicester before Christmas, he would have won that day and providing he gets round will notch up a deserved win. 2nd 4/11

The Red Laird looks a very good bet in the Plumpton 1.50, a course winner on the heavy back in February last year, the N King runner will be having his first run over hurdles after four goes on the National Hunt Flat. The heavy going will aid his cause and assuming he has schooled well over timber he could well reward at a decent price. 4th 16/1

Senor Shane looks to have found his grade after a good win last time out, the heavy ground at Lingfield mid December was to his liking and can take these with a clear round. WON 9/2

Today’s Nap selection is Master Overseer WON 9/2

Kempton RUK

2.05 Lily Lily

2.35 Istiqdaam 3rd 4/1

3.05 Singintherain 2nd 9/2

3.35 Tripitaka WON 4/1

4.35 Nacho Libre WON 5/2

A good time in store for Rupert

New Years Day 1st January 2010

Let’s have more time for Rupert

Happy New Year and may 2010 be very profitable for you all, so with it being New Year’s Day let’s look to get out Nap off to a winning start. Frost has decimated today’s racing leaving just three meetings to have a go on so it’s fingers crossed these three meets still go ahead as further inspections are still going on.

Cheltenham holds a fascinating card with some races looking very tricky with a balance of old horses looking to get back to winnings ways against runners looking to boost their claims for future stardom. The opener looks more open than the betting suggests so a bet on outsider Paddy Live is worth a go. He holds a little bit of decent form and at 25/1 this is the sort of line up that attracts big priced winners, lets hope we are on the right one.

In the next race Knowhere is dropped in a class after competing in his last Class 1 races. His form has declined and he is getting a bit old in the tooth now but he did win last April at Aintree so he still does have his good old days. The opposition he would walk all over on his past form so he looks to be very well selected by his connections to get back to winning ways and again at a good price.

Punchestowns is on the road to gold so he looks the one in the 1.40 as the betting guides, but at a short price he mat pay to just watch and enjoy.

Chapoturgeon needs to win this to get his season back on track, he has top weight but on what he has achieved in his career he merits that and assuming he is on top form will make the 4/1 on offer look like a nice 20/1 win.

Time For Rupert is today’s Nap selection, he did it very nicely over course and distance last time on similar going and a repeat looks a must so get on. Non Runner

The 3.20 is a three horse race but what a race, Mr Thriller is odds on at 4/5 but that still looks a good bet as the two horses he beat last time have franked the form very well with Starluck just failing to win the Christmas hurdle at Kempton (should have won) and Golan Way winning last time out a few days ago. However the opposition makes this looks harder than it could be, Katchit loves Cheltenham and has won a Triumph plus Champion Hurdle but although still young he looks on the down grade now after one too many battles taking its toll. Sentry Duty is decent but still needs to prove that after just one try in the Champion last season, the course suits?

The last race looks a good chance for Tetlami to notch up another success but he is up against some useful runners.

Today’s selections

Cheltenham

1.05 Knowhere 4th 8/1

Second inspections decide what could be a profitable day

28th December 2009 (Bank Holiday)

What A Friend can be our friend

At the time of writing al the meetings are on or in the process of an early morning inspection, so its fingers crossed. Chepstow holds the big race of the day with the Welsh Coral National at 2.10 over a marathon 3m 5f and with the going heavy it is going to take a good horse with stacks of stamina to last past the post. High in the weights are proven and past winners of the race but the site is hoping the race will go to a come back king today in the shape of 2008 Scottish National winner Iris De Balme. It is always a long shot when backing runners on the come back trail especially as the selection as not won on heavy but does boast some decent soft ground form. The nine year old should be now in his prime against some older rivals and his weight of 10-9 should be seen as another positive, his jockey A Freeman also takes of a handy 7lbs claim.

Old Benny in the same race is an alternative if you like to bet on a couple of runners in this big race.

After the fourth inspection gives the card the go ahead, Iris De Balme is declared a Non Runner

The big race of the day over in Ireland is the Lexus Chase at Leopardstown, which as already passed the morning inspection. British raider What A Friend from the Nicholls camp looks to have a very good chance in what looks a hot race.

Due to fog the race was put back 24 hours, WON 11/2

Earlier on the same card it’s hard to get away from French raider Lie Forrit who is notching up some good wins on his way to the Cheltenham Festival. Lie Forrit declared a non runner

Pocket Too after a recent spin on the all weather at Wolverhampton can get back to hurdling claims by winning the 1.35 at Chepstow with the ground posing no problems at all; he could prove to be the bet of the day so take the early price.

Today’s Nap selection goes to What A Friend WON 11/2

It's all Tranquil today

Sunday 27th December 2009

Sea to wash his rivals away again

It was hard going yesterday with the Boxing Day Nap selection Starluck just failing to get up and lands the dosh for us. Hopefully we can gain revenge today over in Ireland at Leopardstown where the impressive Tranquil Sea lines up against some useful rivals in the 1.25 Paddy Power Dial A Bet Chase over 2miles 1f. The 11/4 on offer in the morning papers looks very inviting and the site recommends a good bet at those odds. Winner of his last two races at Naas and then more recently Cheltenham, his jumping will be the key to landing a on the spin hat trick. He is today’s NAP selection.

At Down Royal, which unfortunately will not get any TV coverage today the site, is keen on Posh Bird in the 1.25. Last time out a good performance could have been turned to victory if the jockey had gone a little earlier. There should be no mistakes today if the lesson has been learnt. The Down Royal card was abandoned yesterday but held over for today, hopefully all will be ok this time.

At Kempton Fix The Rib, which has done the site a good turn in the past should be up to his task today by winning the 2.40. Strawberry who has been performing very well over the bigger obstacles of late reverts back to hurdles in the Mares Handicap hurdle at 2.05, the 9/1 looks a good each way bet for this never give up battler.

Today's Nap is a future shining Star

26th December 2009

Barber to cut down Kauto in the George

It’s always risky betting against a true Champion but in the King George it may pay do just that. Barbers Shop has been running well in big races but after the 3 mile mark his engine empties and he tires badly. The King George is a flat 3 miles with more emphasis on jumping as the obstacles do come quick. He fits the bill nicely to upset the great Champion and past winner of the race.

Today’s Nap selection runs in the Christmas Hurdle where Starluck as previous course form when winning at the Festive meeting last year. He gets two miles well but runs out of stamina from then on so he will be at his best trip in the Christmas Hurdle. The opposition is hot so he will be a good price and can surprise off a late run, often running well off the bridle Starluck can well be an early Christmas present for us today. NAP. McCoy can make the difference to today's Nap

Wednesday 16th December 2009

Good Lord to end run of seconds for Doumen

With the frost likely to get in the ground and make conditions even boggier, it is best to sort out some real mud larks today before parting with you cash. The Doumen yard bring over from France a nice little sort in Good Lord who was nothing special on the flat back home but has showed some promise over the flights. Three seconds are against his name in his three attempts but with a top flight jockey in the plate today, Tony McCoy, he could well reveal his true potential before his connections decided whether he is good enough for a tilt in England over the Christmas festivities. Back home he has raced in extremely heavy ground so battling it out in the mud will be no problems today and takes the site Nap selection in the 12.20 at Newbury.

Richard Johnson seeks a milestone today with just one more winner but although his chances look good on paper, his rivals in each race look just as good so he may have to wait another day.

King Olav could well upset the favourite in the Newbury 1.25, his last effort was encouraging and the experience should have brought him on a bundle.

Not bad racing today with three meetings live on Attheraces to look forward to plus the evening meeting at Kempton on RUK.

Ruby to take the big one on Barker

Sunday 6th December 2009

Barker to make the step up!

Some good racing today in Ireland where Barker ridden by Ruby Walsh came step up in grade to take the 2m 4f John Durkan Memorial Punchestown Chase. Conditions will suit most of the 5 runners who in the past have won on heavy going so it will be down to good jumping that will count in the end. Barker has not won at the distance but that should not be seen as a negative and with the assistance of Ruby (two wins from two rides on the horse) he can save a little in the end when needed. It would not be a surprise to see Barker be sent on early but he will need a small breather mid race to make sure he gets home.

The 1.05 may only have four runners but it really is a tricky looking race with positives for all concerned. The betting is tight as well so a bet on any of the runners would be a bet to a good chance on paper. However the man on board may prove to be the difference in the end so the site is keen on likely favourite Coole River who with Barry Geraghty in the saddle can get his nose in front at the finish, this looks a good race to watch with a bet or not.

Jered to carry on from last time

Today's only selection is the Nap which runs in the Fairyhouse 1.20, JERED did us a big favour last time out when winning nicely. Today's race is much stiffer but he can gain some confidence from his latest win and score nicely at odds of 6/1 which at the time of writing is on offer.

Sticky mud ideal for Treacle

Sunday 22nd November 2009

Alright me old treacle!

Not bad racing for a Sunday and again the ground will be on the heavy side for most of the tracks. At Navan in the 2.35 Treacle takes the Nap selection after a battling neck win in a Grade A race last time out at Limerick in soft conditions. It was a hard race but has been given a 42 day break to recover and is poised to complete the hat trick in a big and competitive filed, the 5/1 looks good after winning his last two races at 12/1 and 7/1. Got hampered at the first by a faller and was never in the race until trying to chase home towards the end running past tired horses

Wendel can make his experience pay despite top weight in the Aintree 1.10, looking at the opposition to oppose him there are too many cracks against them, so if all is well he should put them away with ease.

The Sawyer nearly took today’s Nap selection in the Aintree 12.35, looking at past form in today’s ground conditions he has an outstanding chance and considering his morning price of 8/1 he looks a value bet, Will Kennedy can get his head in front with good jumping bound to make all the difference at the end. going ok when unseating rider.

For Bill is unbeaten and with a couple of useful horses against him today can still progress to win this in what looks a good race. 7/2 looks tempting about him. WON 11/4

The bookies will have ringing in their ears

Saturday 21st November 2009

Ring The Boss and tell him you have a winner

Fingers crossed the rain does not cancel Ascot and Haydock as the site has some cracking bet recommendations for today.

The ground at Ascot is heavy and that will suit Fix The Rib who has excellent course form and with a recent pipe opener should be spot on for a nice win.

Over from Ireland, Schindlers Hunt has been knocking on the door but his trip over can finally come good with a nice prize to take back home. He will relish the ground when others have cried enough.

River Ripples looks good in the 12.55.

At Haydock Ring The Boss looks the one and is today’s Nap, he drinks the mud in and has sluiced up when plenty of mud is flying, he will be hard to stop so get on.

Notre Pere from Ireland can lower the colours of Champion Kauto Star, despite falling last time out Notre Pere will find some early season cracks in the Nicholls horse.

Simon can bounce back to form after slipping down the ratings, he goes well in mud and can land some good odds for us.

Jered to score and set big plans for the season!  NAP WINS AT 11/4

All eyes will be on Champion Chaser Master Minded who should win his race bit alas the odds will be well cramped, however it will be a joy to watch a true champion in action.

7/1 Nap to win the Power

13th November 2009

Bally to dance way over rivals today in Power!

A good looking card at Cheltenham today where the site is keen on the chances of Ballyfitz in the Paddy Power. A liking for the Cheltenham course is a massive bonus backed up with a liking for soft and good jumping plus early season form, today’s Nap as a top chance of landing the near £86,000 first prize for his trainer Nigel Twiston-Davies. Paddy Brennan is in the plate and gets on well with his mount. The 7/1 looks a cracking bet and must be well supported to do the business over some useful rivals.

Maljimar is a very useful horse on his day and he if he can get the 3miles 3f trip in the 1.55 he will take some beating.

Consigliere can do with the pipe opener

It’s the first day of three of the Cheltenham OPEN meeting at Prestbury Park and the site is looking forward to some nice success over the course of the meeting.

Strawberry is a gutsy little horse who has done the site some big favours in the past and under Henderson can go close in the first despite having to lump a big weight over three miles. Getting Strawberry jumping in a rhythm is the key and providing Amateur Mr Ben Brisbourne can do so then he is in for a treat of a ride.

In the third race, Consigliere carries the sites Nap selection and if David Pipe has his runners in good early season form, jockey Tom Scudamore can bring his mount home against some useful sorts which include likely main danger Tramantano.

Be sure to look out for tomorrow nights update as the site has some good news.

Legend to shine at Esher

Saturday 7th November 2009

Just Call Me A Legend

Paul Nicholls has got a habit of kicking off his season in style at Wincanton and the site reckons he could well clean up in every race with Ruby Walsh on board. Combination bets is a must with prices taken if you can get them.

Today’s Nap runs at Sandown Park where Call Me A Legend can go one better than his seasonal runner up place 179 days ago. With rain forecast as well, the official going of Good will not hinder him should a bit of soft appear in a changed going.

Palomar at Kelso looks a good bet with soft going to his liking as well.

Enjoy the Fresh Air today

Some brief news today concerning two runners for Thursday 5th November 2009. Today's Nap runs at Haydock in the 1.55 where Fresh Air And Fun can contiune on from the good form he shoed last campaign. Expect a bold show at decent 3/1 odds. pulled up

Next best news is from Ireland where Whatuthink under Barry Geraghty can get his head in front at the thrid time of asking this term, his previous two placed efforts should make him go cloase today, at 4/1 the selection looks a good bet. WON 9/4

Plenty of noise about Tranquil

Ascot holds an half decent meeting today but in general it is pretty average stuff with the back end of the flat and the beginning of the National Hunt proper crossing over. Hopkins was a well touted talent a couple of seasons ago and he is an interesting runner in the 1.50. Watch the betting and if good enough support is shown then spare a little wager as it could prove rewarding.

Bangkok Pete in the last comes with a bit of a reputation so will need to take this if better plans are expected to unfold later in the season.

Today’s Nap runs at Naas where Tranquil Sea is expected to run better than his seasonal run.

NAP WINS AT 6/4 FROM 5/2
