Irish Nap can win if he stays on his feet

Saturday 6th March 2010

Gate should be open for a win at Gowran

Some decent racing today to have a go on with the site warming up to three selections, Possol in the Doncaster 3.25 should maintain his winning run and what looks a decent race. At Newbury Wheels Up has been running into second place too many times and deserves to be in the winners enclosure, today should be his turn with AP on board.

Knowhere can turn up and win for the old boys race at Newbury in the 2.25, he can turn back time and come good.

However the Nap selection runs in the 3.15 at Gowran Park where Dooneys Gate can get back to winning ways after tipping up last time out. His previous run under Ruby Walsh was a good effort against a good yardstick so, a clear round should see him first past the post.

Barney to chase them home again fast

Saturday 27th February 2010

Its an honour

The way Barneys Honour won a few days ago at Fariryhouse, he looks nailed on to take this mob in his stride. He came with a wet sail to snatch victory over 2 miles and this extra furlong should be perfect for him in the Navan 3.45.

Viking Blond did the site a big favour when winning last time out at big odds, he should be well capable of doing the biz again with another bold show.

Mister Green looks the bet at Lingfield in the 4.20, there were some right noises about him two runs back and he should go in with a clear run.

Todays selections

Fingers crossed the weather does not stop today's Nap

Wednesday 24th February 2010

Ballydub to lead the way at Donny

There is still a few inspections going on around the country today as the snow continues to cause havoc in isolated areas, so its fingers crossed all will go ahead.

Lingfield Park definitely does ahead in barmy conditions of 10 degrees C so at least our racing fix will go ahead somewhere this afternoon. Handsome Cross has been playing the bridesmaid this season but surely the 3.55 will present a winning chance today.

Bishopbriggs has finally clicked into gear and can complete the hat trick at 2.10 with useful Travis Block doing the steering. early 3/1 morning favourite, drifted like a barge on course from 9/2 to 6/1, ridden with restraint, faded into last place

At Kempton tonight where there should be no problems expect a big run from Brave Talk in the 6.00, Martin Dwyer will be on board to make sure he gets home in front.

Todays Nap, all being well, runs at Doncaster in the 2.35 where Ballydub put in a good effort last time out chasing home Heathcliff by 1 L at Ludlow. Ballydub lost his way early in the season but his last two runs have been good and he is now going the right way again, a win is on the cards. a game effort running on at the finish for a close up 3rd

Late run can pay dividends

Saturday 20th February 2010

Oh Crikey, he can do it with chocolate

Consigliere has run just the once at Ascot and that was a winning one over fences, he mixes his races up with the odd hurdle race and with the trainer in form he still looks handily weighted on an attractive mark, he has a sneak in a good looking race.

The Betfair Chase looks a real tricky race with question marks over the whole field, Alertas Run is to in and out to back with confidence, Herecomesthetruth makes too many mistakes but is talented. Monets Garden needs a shorter trip to be seen at his best. Planet Of Sound may not be best suited to the track and The Sawyer winner of his last two races may just be out of his depth despite being a C&D winner. So that leaves just Oh Crick from the Alan King yard whose horses have just started to shine a bit in time for the Cheltehnahm Festival, Oh Crick's last effort was very promising when he was running on in the Victor Chandler won by Twist Magic, he nearly snactched the runners up spot from Petit Robin. This longer distance should suit him judged on his last run so expect him to come off the pace late with Robert Thornton poised to strike. Oh Crick is today's Nap selection.

Lorient Express may be a bit long in the tooth these days but he still holds abilaity and his front running tactics could well pay against a fairly moderate bunch.

Dream Alliance will be the one to support at Haydock in the big chase, whilst Kayf Aramis could be suited by the long run in which will hold to his strengths at 2.30.

Each way Nap can win

Thursday 18th February 2010

No diamonds but will a pearl do?

It was very pleasing to see yesterday’s website Nap go in at 2/1 but if you were like me I hope you were on 5/1 or slightly bigger. Plum Pudding ran a cracker and the bookies must have been licking their wounds at our sweet success.

Winners as expected were hard to come by otherwise on what really looked a tricky days action but the shining light made the day.

Today’s website Nap runs at Ffos Las in the 3.45 where Pearl can do us a nice turn at a good price, the bet is an each way one as the Nap has only managed to win once with today’s jockey Richard Johnson. Although filling the runners up spot in the last two races, they were wide margin defeats but the pull in weights this time round could prove vital and a change course often does the trick as well.

Update Pearl has been backed from 15/2 down to 11/2 with Betfred as of 12.23pm.

Could the come back kids surprise?

Wednesday 17th February 2010

Plum can add a bit of sweetness to some sour looking racing

Its very hard to get excited about todays racing despite there being plenty of it but I guess with the main action next month the also rans will have to take centre stage for a while. Sifting through form figures that possess more ducks eggs than Old McDonalds Farm is not the best way to spend a few hours of your time but I guess its the only way to try and sift out a possible shining light.

Plum Pudding did the biz for me last time out when scooting home at nice odds in the last meeting at Leicester under 11-10 in a class 4. The Fact he has gone up a class should not hinder him and his weight of 10-8 looks most attractive with Liam Treadwell again in the plate. The price will not be as big but will be back able enough to enjoy what I hope is todays shining light, needless to say Plum Pudding in the Leicester 3.10 is the website Nap. 6/1 is his show in the early papers. WON 2/1 after some heavy support with 5 and 6/1 on offer with the bookies early doors

At Punchestown there are two horses back on the retrieve mission, the first one runs in the hurdle race at 2.25 where Newton Bridge appears after a break of 250 days, his last few runs have been 11P00000-0 so you can assume when he was pulled up after two wins something went wrong on that day and his form since has been all wrong. His form figures before that season was F131116222- and one of those wins was at Cheltenham in a good race. He is only 9 so in his prime and it can be hoped that the break and work in between has got to the bottom of his problems, if so we could well be on at some big odds with 8 runners in the race. 33/1 is his price in the Racing Post this morning with the favourite 4/7 Won In The Dark who boasts form figures of 0-7465 I think you get my drift. NON RUNNER

The other runner back on track is Nintytwo Team in the race after Newton Bridge, the selection has not been seen on a racecourse for 851 days with his last run 4th on Oct 07 at Cheltenham with Timmy Murphy on board. He has picked up three wins and some place efforts in his time so he is useful and running against some horses today that have plenty of question marks and stamina issues despite the race being just 20f. He cant be backed with too much confidence after a lay off of nearly three years but a small each way wager at what will be big odds could reward? 25/1 is the Racing Post show against non staying 2/1 favourite Deutschland, hmnnnn.

The only other runner of note today is Wheels Up in the 2.40 at Leicester, he has been placed second twice recently but AP should have sussed him out now to get his head in front on the line, he is a 4/1 chance. 2nd 11/4

Kempton RUK

Sam to lead the way

Tuesday 16th February 2010

Spiderman to cast a web over his rivals

There are plenty of runners at Folkestone today but not one decent horse amongst the lot of them so again the site will have to give the whole meeting a miss, maybe it will not pass the 6am morning inspection, whatever. The site had plenty of winners yesterday including a four timer at Plumpton but the odds were short as predicted, but as they say a winner is a winner.

Hopefully the meeting will go ahead at Newcastle as Sammy Spiderman holds a great chance in the 3 miler at 4.10, he ran a good race when chasing home It's Teescomponents 27 days ago in a class 3 race. He is today/s Nap selection.

Today's selections

There were plenty of runners that got stuck in the mud yesterday which included the short priced Nap Osana who was somewhat disappointing, however Viva Vettori did us some good winning by 2L at a nice 8/1 with 14/1 on offer in the offices in the morning, hopefully some of were responsible for the price being reduced.

Some average racing today but there should be a few winners in the pipeline starting with Mister Wall Street in the opener at Catterick, he is shaping well with experience and should be good enough to win the 2.20.

If form figures are anything to go by then Gunship will definately win the Plumpton 2.30, when he gets round he wins and his figures suggest he wins this time.

Cocktail Party is due a win after a few runs just in behind the leaders, today could well be his day to past the post first.

Today's Nap selection goes to Ellen Tilley who really holds a great chance, a clear and error free round will help ET's cause.

Navan Nap too good

Sunday 14th February 2010

Ossie to prove far too good to land the Nap at Navan

Yesterday's Nap Quinsman 4/1 was just done on the line in a thrilling finish in the last race of the day at Wolverhampton but apart from a couple of disappointing runs from advised big each way shots the site had a decent day with highlighted selection Tricky Trickster winning the AON Chase at 8/1 with much bigger prices available in the morning shows. The site was in cracking form at Warwick with a 191/1 four timer from six selections, hopefully you were on some of the profit.

At Exeter today it should be a favourites day but we will not get rich however at Navan the races are much more competitive and the returns will be much better. Kerb Appeal won nicely for the site a few days ago and there is no reason why he cannot take the opener with the right man on board, 2/1 would be a great price if you can get it. WON 2/1 Ninetieth Minute is due a big perfromance after a couple of average runs in good company, trip and tracks may not have suited but today will more to his liking in what looks a good race. 3rd 5/1 behind grand old horse War Of Attrition

Viva Vettori looks a good wager at big odds in the Kempton 3.45, he runs well when fresh often winning, any market support would be worth following.  WON 8/1 by 2L    14/1 was on offer in the early morning

Nothing should stop Osana in the last race at Navan and he will prove far too strong for his rivals, he is today's Nap despite the short price, but even at 7/4 he looks great value so if you can get slightly bigger then do.

Cracking sport today

Saturday 13th February 2010

The Boss can rule but the Quin will be the Man

Some great racing today and with the Cheltenham Festival just a few weeks away it is getting an exciting time for the National Hunt scene. The big betting race of the day is no doubt the Totesport Hurdle at Newbury 3.05, where the site believes there is still one more big race left in P J Hobbs's Ring The Boss, a previous course and distance winner. He has lost his way a bit these past two seasons winning just twice but although a in and out performer he still retains some ability and at a big price make some great each way appeal. The Hobbs runners seem to be hitting a bit of good form so any market moves will be significant, don't be scared to have a bit of a dabble on him at 50/1

Denman will be under the spotlight as his final bit of Gold Cup preparation takes place in the Newbury 2.30, however the selection is Tricky Trickster who could well prove a bit tricky to shake off for his stablemate. WON 8/1

So Now has a great chance in the other good hurdle at Newbury in the 2.00, his second last time out on his only run for this campaign is useful and he looks a good bet.

Mahogany Blaze should prove a tough nut to crack on a course that will suit him much better than Sandown and Kempton, scene of his last two poor displays. Master Minded is expected to be back on song for Ruby but if not look out for the Blaze.   2nd 14/1

Sammy Spiderman was the Nap a couple of weeks ago when the meeting at Newcastle was called off, at Ayr in the 3.15 expect him to go close.

The Nap runs in the last race of the day at Wolverhampton in the 9.20, Quinsman has been in great form and will be hard to beat. NAP.  2nd 4/1 beaten by a short head

Hail The King

Thursday 12th February 2010

Nothing really stands out for today's racing but in the 3.45 at Kempton Duc De Regniere should get the better of Big Fella Thanks who will be suited to a more galloping track.  At odds on he is not a betting price, but he should do the biz for the big backers.

Snakebite in the Kempton 4.20 is worth supporting today, early odds at currently 6/1 (posted 10.25am today)

Today's Nap selection goes to King Stanley in the 3.55 at Bangor who at odds of around 13/2 should be a decent betting price.

Ruby to tame the boy

Wednesday 10th February 2010

A home win is on the cards today

Two of yesterdays three selections ran well below par but it was good to see the other selection Ranjobie do it nicely as

expected at a well backed 5/2 with 11/2 on offer early doors.

Today's racing, and there is plenty of it, looks a bit tricky but the interesting one is in the 4.20 at Fairyhouse where Caronstown Boy

has top weight. Amazingly the Ruby Walsh mount has never won in his native Ireland winning twice at Perth and two runs back at FFos Las,

that should not put us off the Nap selection as Ruby Walsh can get the best out of his mount making it two wins from two rides on the horse,

expect a good punting price.

The site expects a good few winners at Carlisle today, coverage is on RUK, at Kempton in the 6.40 Thunderball

can take the winning ticket for his backers. Excellent show runs at Southwell for the first time, hopefully the switch of track will help him to get his head in front this time.

Good game, good game!

Tuesday 9th February 2010

The laughing game can make us smile today

The site feels there is three good chances of success today so lets start at Sedgefield in the opener where Twiston-Davies sends out his Caheerloch. A good effort last time when fourth will put him in good shape for this and Paddy Brennan can steer him home at odds of around 7/2 which is good value.

Two horses at Market Rasen who should both win at decent prices are Ranjobie who has slightly lost his way after early promise. He would have won but for falling at Kempton over Christmas when pulling a cart and last time out ran poorly when second but the site feels the ground was too soft for him and he was not that fluent over the timber. Maybe his fall at Kempton left a mark but his clear round following that run should have him back on song. The ground forecast has a bit of good in it so that will be a big plus as that will aid his jumping and boost his speed which he clearly has. The papers have in at 11/2, get on. WON 5/2

The last selection won well at the last meeting over course and distance in the same grade so expect Laughing Game to carry on where he left off. He tracked the leaders before being produced with a well timed run to battle on a win well. He is around 7/1 in the early shows.

Laughing Game is today's Nap selection
Today's selections

Sandown Nap can turn back time

Saturday 5th February 2010

Don’t mess with the Chief

Sandown hosts a good meeting today but we will not get rich backing the obvious ones so it might pay to follow a couple of past good uns who still hold a bit of class. In the 3.10 Chief Yeoman has been a good servant in the past and run against the best running some very good races, over timber when he has won it has been in either January or mainly February so we can take it that he is at his best at this time of the season. He won this race last season when carrying 10-10, today he carries just 10-0 as he has not shown a thing since winning by 1 ¼ L over Ballydub when a tasty looking 16/1 shot. The ground is ideal and another decent price should be guaranteed, he is today’s Nap selection.

Bang bang in goes the Nap

Thursday 4th February 2010

Always be bold with your selections

The site was in fantastic form on Wednesday with 20/1 winner Viking Blond being the main highlight of the day however more success quickly followed with a nice 57/1 treble at Lingfield but the best was yet to follow in the evening meeting at Kempton when Copper King at 11/1 formed one part of winning 336/1 treble.

Chepstow is called off today due to a waterlogged course, however there is still five other tracks to have a play with including Meydan in Dubai, no rain there to worry about.

It’s a tricky day but the site likes the look of Always Bold in the last race at Bangor, he won well last time out and can go in again to land the website Nap.

Special Nap today

Wednesday 3rd February 2010

Spiderman, spiderman…..

Stacks of racing to look forward to as the Cheltenham Festival get ever nearer and there is plenty to get excited about today’s cards. Let’s start in Ireland where Posh Bird has put up two good efforts finishing bridesmaid twice but there is enough confidence to suggest there will be a Posh winner in the 1.35.

At Kempton, Absa Lutte can get back to winning ways after disappointing last time out breaking a winning sequence, expect a bold show. WON 5/2

Awatuki showed signs that a win is soon on the cards with a close up third last time out, the 3.25 looks like his race. Hereford Boy looks in fine form and can complete the hat trick in the race before.

There is some light snow expected at Newcastle tomorrow so the site is with fingers crossed as two good bits of information will come from the northern track side. In the 2.05 Hollins looked very good winning by a big margin at the tracks last meeting, he was helped by his main rival coming to grief at the end but he would not have been beaten and is still on the upgrade.

Now the main bet of the day concerns a superhero, Sammy Spiderman ran a cracker last time out 14 days ago when going down by 2 ½ L to 3/1 fav It’s Teescomponents. That form line gives him a great shout and this heavier ground will suit him even better as he has won in boggy ground. The softer the better as he lacks a real turn of foot but he looks more than capable of putting this lot away, he should be a fair price as well and runs a class less than his last time out second place. The trip is fine so get on and have some fun.

Mister Pete in the first at Newcastle was well supported when a third last time out, he seemed to run out of puff when holding a winning position so the step up to 3 miles from 2 miles 4f could be seen as a worry so watch the betting as a small wager could be on if supported by the right people.

Face it, it's got a great chance

Monday 1st February 2010

Lets tell it to you Straight and face it

Straight Face in the Wolverhampton 4.50 is the only bet of the day today, a little unlucky last time out when second expect the man on board to leave a little with room at the business end. 9/2 is still around for Today's Nap selection.

Saturday's Nap Artic Magic did us proud in the last race at Cheltenham winning in battling style at 6/1 by just over 2L, 10/1 was around in the morning prices and I hope some of you were on.

Posted 1st February 2010 (10.30am)

Lets put a bit of magic in our lives today

Saturday 29th January 2010

Artic conditions will be a good thing today..like magic

Some quality racing at Cheltenham tomorrow if the course passes the inspection but fingers crossed it will be ok despite a very cold night forecast. In the opener the site has been beefing up the merits of Pistolet Bleu for the Triumph hurdle, quoting him at 10/1 as a likely winner of that race. His task in the 12.55 will be a lot easier and nothing but a win must be on the cards but don’t expect a good price.

Pigeon Island is a horse who has always found one too good for him most of his career but in the 1.30 he can gain a much over due success Twiston Davies. The stable has not been firing on all cylinders of late which could take off tomorrow with one of his stable favourites, let’s hope so.

Another horse who always runs his race at Cheltenham is Private Be but he again normally finds one too good for him in the closing stages. However the Betfair Trophy Chase at 2.05 has a good look about it and the site feels it will be his day at last. He ran a cracker to be second to a decent animal last time out in a grade 1 and with this being two grades lower plus a handy weight of 10-9, the 11 year old will be hard to beat this time round.

Lie Forrit would probably be crowned World Hurdle champion come March but with Big Bucks on the scene he will have to take his chances elsewhere. However there is no Big Bucks or similar in the 3.40 so lump on and enjoy.

The real interesting runner of the day as far as the site is concerned is Artic Magic in the last. Looking back at his past form he ran a creditable third to Punchestowns at Cheltenham Nov 2008. He was running on that day at trip longer than today’s going down by nearly 9L, however his form dipped after that until last time out when he was a running on second at Exeter going down ¼ L to Classic Dream who he meets again today. There is a big swing around at the weights with that rival who is sure to be well up in the betting and looking at the rest of the opposition and booking of Tom Scudamore he could well be a tasty bet at a decent price. He takes today’s Nap selection. WON 6/1

Elsewhere Kicks For Free deserves to win a good race and the Doncaster 3.25 presents a good opportunity for him. Earlier on Fit To Drive can get back on the winning trail after falling last time out when still holding a chance.

Another Nap should fly in at Navan today

Wednesday 27th January 2010

Pencil to ink in a win

It was great to see the latest Nap go in last Sunday at odds of 15/2 with the old boy Woodlands Genpower winning a thrilling race in heavy conditions, the site was spot on with it's brief on the race which made it even more the enjoyable.

Plenty of racing on show today but it as a bit of a difficult look about it, however it should pay to follow Nicky Henderson’s runners in the first two races at Huntingdon. Clear Sailing has been winning in smallish races so this bigger field will be a test for him, but he should have learned plenty from his last two wins and complete a quick treble of victories.

Russian Invader has been well tested on the all weather of late and now should be ready to go and win, watch the 6.40 at Kempton.

Can Euro American turn back the years of a promising youngster in the 3.20 at Musselburgh, if he can he will be good value.

Today’s Nap runs at Navan where The Flying Pencil can ink in a good win

Plenty of whit is needed to take the Irish Champion today

Sunday 24th January 2010

Solwhit to boost his claim for the Champion hurdle

The site had a bit of success yesterday with highlighted selections Mamlook WON 10/1 and previous web Nap Bubbly Bellini WON 9/4 winning plus 6/1 Fazbee doing the business as well.

Plenty of racing in Britain and Ireland to look forward to today with the main focus being the Leopardstown meeting where a few Cheltenham Festival bound runners are out to stake their place come March. Solwhit (see Cheltenham preview page) lines up in the Irish Champion hurdle at 2.45 against some useful rivals so he will need to be somewhere near his best if his connections want to pick up the big prize. Winner of 7 of his last 9 races and with a recent victory over one of today’s rivals and past Champion hurdler’s Sublimity over course and distance at the Christmas meeting, Davy Russell’s mount is well up to taking the prize in ground which will not be a problem. Celestial Halo may well prove to be his main rival but the site feels he just lacks being top class to stop Solwhit, who is going to be a major player in the Champion at Cheltenham; it’s going to be a fascinating race with hopefully plenty of clues coming out of the race. WON 5/6

Woodlands Genpower is running in his back yard today at Towcester having run 7 of his last 10 races at the course. He loves heavy, as his breeding lines suggest so the old boy at 12 years old will be a major player under the guidance of promising prospect Jack Doyle. The 3 miles plus will take some getting in the heavy and this is sure to sort out plenty of his rivals and work to his advantage. Probably history being made today with the site selecting its oldest NAP selection in Woodlands Genpower, lets hope he does not disappoint. WON 15/2

Later in the card Chaim can run well for the Wadham yard in the beginners chase over 3 miles 110yds, again the ground will suit the selection which will prove vital towards the end.

Tough going but some profit can be had

Saturday 22nd January 2010

Mac to continue to win domination for the site!

Today’s racing has an impossible look about it so watch those bets and more importantly, stakes.

Tarquinius put up a good performance to finish second behind website Nap Master Overseer in the Sussex National at Plumpton around Christmas and will not be found wanting at the end of this 3m 4f trip. Assuming that race did not take too much out of him he looks spot on to win the Haydock 1.45.      Non Runner

Afsoun is getting a bit old in the tooth these days but he likes Haydock and will be running on at the end in the mud after the last. Providing he is not to much attached from the other at the last flight he can make up some lost ground on what is a marathon run in to the post, could be an interesting race with his Champion hurdler stable mate Punjabi.

Strawberry always obliges for the site when given a mention, so let’s hope the trend continues and the likeable mare cam complete the hat trick in ground and trip she likes. pulled up

Emma Lavelle has her string in good heart and her Kilcrea Castle looks to hold an outstanding chance at Ascot in the 3.45, the ground will suit just nicely as all of the selections runs have nearly all come in the mud back home in Ireland.  3rd 10/1

Mamlook is a useful but frustrating sort who is getting hard to win with, connections have tried all sorts of trips and she runs well on all types of ground so what is the key to her? A late run off a fast pace seems to bring the best out of her so lets hope for a furious pace and a well judges run from jockey Hadden Frost  WON 10/1

Petit Robin can turn over his main rivals in the Victor Chandler Chase, it won’t be easy but his last race was proof enough the fitness and willing is there.  2nd 15/8

Steiemac can continue to roll on and win the big handicap hurdle at Leopardstown, he has been very progressive and impressive, he will take a lot of stopping so get on Today’s website Nap selection.

Bubbly Bellini should have landed the Nap selection last time out when throwing away a 4L lead inside the final furlong; he drifted badly to the left and lost the race by a short nose. He owes us one and needs to steer a straight line, is that too much to ask for? WON 9/4 fom 4/1

A right old Party in the opener at leafy

Friday 22nd January 2010

It's time to Party!

Lingfield looks the best card to concentrate on today with a good card to get stuck into and the site feels the selections will all go close. Show Us How To Do It

Thursday 21st January 2010

An excellent show today is on the cards

The site enjoyed a nice four timer at Punchestown yesterday with all the 7 selections in the top three giving us a good run for our money.

Some average runners on display today but Wolverhampton and Gowran Park host two good meetings. Excellent Show has been running really well and was unlucky last time out when just beaten on the line; he can make amends today in the Wolver 4.50 and is today’s Nap.

Powerstation looked useful last time out when winning and although he faces a much stiffer test in the 1.35 he can make the others all go.

Beroni has been superb this term and although a big field Ruby Walsh can make another win on him with a clear passage.

A hot Nap today

Wednesday 20th January 2010

A flame to shine on the all weather

A few nice winners for the site yesterday including a nice 10/1 and 11/1 back to back winners at Southwell being the highlight.

Today the site is expecting most success at Kempton Park’s mid to early evening meeting so take note of the selections especially Crimson Flame which takes the Nap selection of the day. A couple of recent good efforts will be rewarded under the hands of jockey Robert Winston.

New bury is under attack from some reported heavy snow so it’s fingers crossed that the white stuff misses the Berkshire track, but it’s in the lap of the Gods.

Seek The Truth holds a good chance in the 3.25 at Newcastle and Senor Shane should win again all being well at Newbury.

Dream of a Nap today

Tuesday 18th January 2010

Folk off, but the Nap should be on

We should be thankful that jumps racing has recently returned to action but looking at the Folkestone card on offer today, we would be better if the snow had stayed on the track. I have never seen such a poor bunch of runners competing in every race, forget the form just a pin will do and on that note, the site will decline from posting any selections from the meeting.

The Nap runs in Ireland and looks to have a very good chance of going one better than last time out when second at the course when going down a shd to Fivestar Allstars 47 days ago. With trainer and jockey in good form expect plenty of betting on the Nap, Hearthstead Dream.

Goodbye Cash did it nicely last time out and is poised to complete the hat trick at Wolverhampton in the 3.50.

Dan Buoy should strip much fitter than his rivals in the Southwell 3.00 after three recent spins on the all weather, will his fitness be enough? I do hope so. WON 10/1

Envoy could be back to his very best

Sunday 17th January 2010

Vinny to win

What a frustrating day for the site yesterday with loads of runners up but there was a shining light in Michael Flips who won the Lanzarote Hurdle at 9/1.

Special Envoy is back on the trail again after losing his way two seasons back, he was tipped for the top and the way his trainer is going of late he could well be back to his best and if so will take these in his stride, watch the betting market.

Today’s Nap runs at Fairyhouse where Cousin Vinny after two seconds needs to get back to winning ways; this is a decent opportunity to do so. Nap

Welcome back the jumps

Saturday 16th January 2010

Jumps back on the trail today!

Finally we will get to see some jumps racing in England tomorrow with Huntingdon and Kempton getting the all clear plus a card at Naas in Ireland as well.

Lingfield continues to fly the flag for the all weather tracks today and the site is expecting a few winners form the selections below. Clear Sailing and inform Lisahane Bog should carry on where they left off last time out with victory.

At Kempton the site is very keen on Spear Thistle landing the odds in the last race after a good win last time out at Lingfield in the heavy by 6L. It is hard to see him not winning and his today’s Nap selection with much confidence.

Mad Max and Michael Flips are both on the comeback trail for two reasons, Mad Max has not run for over 300 days and Flips has lost his way from early last season.

Today’s selections

The victory Bell will toll in the 2.20 at Southwell

Thursday 14th January 2010

Pop open some Bubbly at Southwell

We might be lucky today and get away with three all weather meetings, so its fingers crossed. Lingfield inspect at 9.30am after having Wednesday’s meetings called off due to heavy snow, but things are much brighter this time round.

The website Nap’s have been going well this week with 2 out of 2 although the prices have not been great both selections have won very well as predicted so long may the winners continue.

Bubbly Bellini never seems to run a bad race and deserves another success; it should come in the Southwell 2.20 and get the Nap nod.

Excellent Show in the first at Wolverhampton and Tribe in the last at Lingfield should both give good accounts and get their noses in front.

Southwell and Kempton get green light

Let’s get High on a looney!

Well the snow has re surfaced again causing even more chaos to the country but Southwell and Kempton have been given the green light to race this afternoon giving us something to watch and hopefully win a few bob in the process.

Fair play to Southwell for putting on a card of bumper races for the National Hunt boys and Brackloon High from the in form Noel Chance takes today’s Nap. The Nap won nicely last time out and he looks a progressive sort in the making and will be too good for his rivals. WON 2/1

Kempton actually stages a decent card with plenty of runners, let’s hope after three inspections (passed) that the weather relents in the afternoon and causes no further problems. Red Suede Shoes in the last race looks the pick and warrants a good bet.

Today’s selections

12.30 Takamaru     Withdrawn

Russian to complete another win

Just the one selection today and that runs in the Southwell 1.50 where RUSSIAN MUSIC (NAP) is the bet of the day. Going for the hat trick under top weight with a 6lbs penalty, the in form Ian Williams runner will be suited even more to the step up to 2 miles. Hard to oppose.

Lets have some Fun today

Sunday 10th January 2010

Lets add a bit of Funshine to our winter

Just the one meeting in Britain today with six races at Southwell, which is covered live by ATR.

Official going is slow and judging by the last meeting it was a hard slog getting through the surface with many of the winners coming from runners held up in the van from the off. The first four races the site is confident of it’s selections but the last two races are pretty much impossible to back with confidence. The 3.20 selection goes to Outer Hebrides who has little bits of form to go on but no bet is the advice in the race.

The Nap runs in the opener where Mr Funshine holds an excellent chance over the minimum trip of 5f. His record is two wins from two when the going is slow so the 9/2 looks very good value and a bet is strongly recommended.

Dan Buoy can follow up again on this surface after producing a 20/1 shock the other day when getting up by a neck. He has been brought out again dropped in grade and runs off bottom weight, he can’t be missed.

Elusive Fame can win the 2.50; he has a big turn around in the weight with his victor Follow The Flag 8 days ago and should be good enough to justify his place at the head of the market.

Today’s selections

Southwell

1.20 Mr Funshine (Nap)

1.50 Inside Story

2.20 Dan Buoy

2.50 Elusive Fame

3.20 Outer Hebrides

3.50 Bowmaker

Two names for the price of WON

Saturday 9th January 2010

Nap to cheer us all up for winter

It’s a tough time for the racing industry (and everyone else) but hopefully the all weather will give us some Saturday racing to get stuck into today. OK the grade is pretty low but there should be a couple of decent form lines to have a go on.

Benandonner has a useful draw in stall 1 for the 2.10 at Lingfield, quickly into his stride he should be able to get to the front and dictate. If jockey Martin Dwyer gets to the first bend first then he can get the Mike Murphy trained runner home at a good price. It’s been a while since the Nap selection last ran at the Surrey track but when he did he won over course and distance. Was running a good race and in contention when barged out of the way by the eventual winner along the rail, No stewards enquiry or mention by ATR, disgraceful

Tiddliwinks should be good enough to make it a quick double despite having top weight in the Kempton 2.55. WON 10/11

Bilberry could well get his head in front if he decides to turn up and want to race, he has the talent and form but is a bit of a monkey when he wants to.

Don't overlook the master

Sunday 3rd January 2010

Follow the master all the way round

Well the good news is that Plumpton passed a second inspection today giving the go ahead of the At The Races Sussex National over 3 miles 5f at 2.20. The ground is heavy which will suit the David Pipe favourite Master Overseer who has done nothing wrong this season. Although it’s not a forgone conclusion in this marathon trip, he will be hard to beat and the 5/1 looks good value. WON 9/2

Istiqdaam looks a winner in the Kempton 2.35 and the 5/2 on offer still looks a good value bet. 3rd 4/1

Ranjobaie will be looking for some pay back after falling when going really well at Leicester before Christmas, he would have won that day and providing he gets round will notch up a deserved win. 2nd 4/11

The Red Laird looks a very good bet in the Plumpton 1.50, a course winner on the heavy back in February last year, the N King runner will be having his first run over hurdles after four goes on the National Hunt Flat. The heavy going will aid his cause and assuming he has schooled well over timber he could well reward at a decent price. 4th 16/1

Senor Shane looks to have found his grade after a good win last time out, the heavy ground at Lingfield mid December was to his liking and can take these with a clear round. WON 9/2

Today’s Nap selection is Master Overseer WON 9/2

A good time in store for Rupert

New Years Day 1st January 2010

Let’s have more time for Rupert

Happy New Year and may 2010 be very profitable for you all, so with it being New Year’s Day let’s look to get out Nap off to a winning start. Frost has decimated today’s racing leaving just three meetings to have a go on so it’s fingers crossed these three meets still go ahead as further inspections are still going on.

Cheltenham holds a fascinating card with some races looking very tricky with a balance of old horses looking to get back to winnings ways against runners looking to boost their claims for future stardom. The opener looks more open than the betting suggests so a bet on outsider Paddy Live is worth a go. He holds a little bit of decent form and at 25/1 this is the sort of line up that attracts big priced winners, lets hope we are on the right one.

In the next race Knowhere is dropped in a class after competing in his last Class 1 races. His form has declined and he is getting a bit old in the tooth now but he did win last April at Aintree so he still does have his good old days. The opposition he would walk all over on his past form so he looks to be very well selected by his connections to get back to winning ways and again at a good price.

Punchestowns is on the road to gold so he looks the one in the 1.40 as the betting guides, but at a short price he mat pay to just watch and enjoy.

Chapoturgeon needs to win this to get his season back on track, he has top weight but on what he has achieved in his career he merits that and assuming he is on top form will make the 4/1 on offer look like a nice 20/1 win.

Time For Rupert is today’s Nap selection, he did it very nicely over course and distance last time on similar going and a repeat looks a must so get on. Non Runner

The 3.20 is a three horse race but what a race, Mr Thriller is odds on at 4/5 but that still looks a good bet as the two horses he beat last time have franked the form very well with Starluck just failing to win the Christmas hurdle at Kempton (should have won) and Golan Way winning last time out a few days ago. However the opposition makes this looks harder than it could be, Katchit loves Cheltenham and has won a Triumph plus Champion Hurdle but although still young he looks on the down grade now after one too many battles taking its toll. Sentry Duty is decent but still needs to prove that after just one try in the Champion last season, the course suits?

The last race looks a good chance for Tetlami to notch up another success but he is up against some useful runners.

Today’s selections

Second inspections decide what could be a profitable day

28th December 2009 (Bank Holiday)

What A Friend can be our friend

At the time of writing al the meetings are on or in the process of an early morning inspection, so its fingers crossed. Chepstow holds the big race of the day with the Welsh Coral National at 2.10 over a marathon 3m 5f and with the going heavy it is going to take a good horse with stacks of stamina to last past the post. High in the weights are proven and past winners of the race but the site is hoping the race will go to a come back king today in the shape of 2008 Scottish National winner Iris De Balme. It is always a long shot when backing runners on the come back trail especially as the selection as not won on heavy but does boast some decent soft ground form. The nine year old should be now in his prime against some older rivals and his weight of 10-9 should be seen as another positive, his jockey A Freeman also takes of a handy 7lbs claim.

Old Benny in the same race is an alternative if you like to bet on a couple of runners in this big race.

After the fourth inspection gives the card the go ahead, Iris De Balme is declared a Non Runner

The big race of the day over in Ireland is the Lexus Chase at Leopardstown, which as already passed the morning inspection. British raider What A Friend from the Nicholls camp looks to have a very good chance in what looks a hot race.

Due to fog the race was put back 24 hours, WON 11/2

Earlier on the same card it’s hard to get away from French raider Lie Forrit who is notching up some good wins on his way to the Cheltenham Festival. Lie Forrit declared a non runner

Pocket Too after a recent spin on the all weather at Wolverhampton can get back to hurdling claims by winning the 1.35 at Chepstow with the ground posing no problems at all; he could prove to be the bet of the day so take the early price.

Today’s Nap selection goes to What A Friend WON 11/2

It's all Tranquil today

Sunday 27th December 2009

Sea to wash his rivals away again

It was hard going yesterday with the Boxing Day Nap selection Starluck just failing to get up and lands the dosh for us. Hopefully we can gain revenge today over in Ireland at Leopardstown where the impressive Tranquil Sea lines up against some useful rivals in the 1.25 Paddy Power Dial A Bet Chase over 2miles 1f. The 11/4 on offer in the morning papers looks very inviting and the site recommends a good bet at those odds. Winner of his last two races at Naas and then more recently Cheltenham, his jumping will be the key to landing a on the spin hat trick. He is today’s NAP selection.

At Down Royal, which unfortunately will not get any TV coverage today the site, is keen on Posh Bird in the 1.25. Last time out a good performance could have been turned to victory if the jockey had gone a little earlier. There should be no mistakes today if the lesson has been learnt. The Down Royal card was abandoned yesterday but held over for today, hopefully all will be ok this time.

At Kempton Fix The Rib, which has done the site a good turn in the past should be up to his task today by winning the 2.40. Strawberry who has been performing very well over the bigger obstacles of late reverts back to hurdles in the Mares Handicap hurdle at 2.05, the 9/1 looks a good each way bet for this never give up battler.

Today's Nap is a future shining Star

26th December 2009

Barber to cut down Kauto in the George

It’s always risky betting against a true Champion but in the King George it may pay do just that. Barbers Shop has been running well in big races but after the 3 mile mark his engine empties and he tires badly. The King George is a flat 3 miles with more emphasis on jumping as the obstacles do come quick. He fits the bill nicely to upset the great Champion and past winner of the race.

Today’s Nap selection runs in the Christmas Hurdle where Starluck as previous course form when winning at the Festive meeting last year. He gets two miles well but runs out of stamina from then on so he will be at his best trip in the Christmas Hurdle. The opposition is hot so he will be a good price and can surprise off a late run, often running well off the bridle Starluck can well be an early Christmas present for us today. NAP. Mark your book with some profit

Saturday 19th December 2009

Hopefully Haydock will pass the morning inspection as the card looks a very good one with a few good looking betting prospects. Helens Vision is due a win and looks to be on a good mark after a decent third last time out. With a nice racing weight and sure to be good price there must be at the very least some each way value.

Open De L’Isle has been performing very well and picked up two good wins on the trot and still looks on the upgrade for the hat trick. A good solid jumper at speed Denis O’Regan is back on board today.

Mark The Book looks an interesting entry in the Tommy Whittle Chase at 2.20 over 3 miles. The Hobbs runner takes a big step up in class but with a light weight and the help of Richard Johnson in the saddle can make the frame. There is a big win in the horse that likes big galloping tracks like Haydock, maybe today is the day and gets the Nap selection.

McCoy can make the difference to today's Nap

Wednesday 16th December 2009

Good Lord to end run of seconds for Doumen

With the frost likely to get in the ground and make conditions even boggier, it is best to sort out some real mud larks today before parting with you cash. The Doumen yard bring over from France a nice little sort in Good Lord who was nothing special on the flat back home but has showed some promise over the flights. Three seconds are against his name in his three attempts but with a top flight jockey in the plate today, Tony McCoy, he could well reveal his true potential before his connections decided whether he is good enough for a tilt in England over the Christmas festivities. Back home he has raced in extremely heavy ground so battling it out in the mud will be no problems today and takes the site Nap selection in the 12.20 at Newbury.

Richard Johnson seeks a milestone today with just one more winner but although his chances look good on paper, his rivals in each race look just as good so he may have to wait another day.

King Olav could well upset the favourite in the Newbury 1.25, his last effort was encouraging and the experience should have brought him on a bundle.

Cheltenham is where the main action is again today with favourite backers likely to fill their boots as many jollies seem to hold golden chances.

Heavy going at Hexham ideal for Nap

Wednesday 9th December 2009

It’s not that Open on paper so have a go WON 5/1

Not bad racing today with three meetings live on Attheraces to look forward to plus the evening meeting at Kempton on RUK.

On heavy going at Hexham in the 12.50 it may pay to stick with the 7lbs penalised Open D’Isle who will appreciate the ground against his better ground performers, his jockey takes off a useful 5lbs claim to boost the Nap’s claims. WON 5/1 easily as expected

Ruby to take the big one on Barker

Sunday 6th December 2009

Barker to make the step up!

Some good racing today in Ireland where Barker ridden by Ruby Walsh came step up in grade to take the 2m 4f John Durkan Memorial Punchestown Chase. Conditions will suit most of the 5 runners who in the past have won on heavy going so it will be down to good jumping that will count in the end. Barker has not won at the distance but that should not be seen as a negative and with the assistance of Ruby (two wins from two rides on the horse) he can save a little in the end when needed. It would not be a surprise to see Barker be sent on early but he will need a small breather mid race to make sure he gets home.

The 1.05 may only have four runners but it really is a tricky looking race with positives for all concerned. The betting is tight as well so a bet on any of the runners would be a bet to a good chance on paper. However the man on board may prove to be the difference in the end so the site is keen on likely favourite Coole River who with Barry Geraghty in the saddle can get his nose in front at the finish, this looks a good race to watch with a bet or not.

Jered to carry on from last time

Today's only selection is the Nap which runs in the Fairyhouse 1.20, JERED did us a big favour last time out when winning nicely. Today's race is much stiffer but he can gain some confidence from his latest win and score nicely at odds of 6/1 which at the time of writing is on offer.

Sticky mud ideal for Treacle

Sunday 22nd November 2009

Alright me old treacle!

Not bad racing for a Sunday and again the ground will be on the heavy side for most of the tracks. At Navan in the 2.35 Treacle takes the Nap selection after a battling neck win in a Grade A race last time out at Limerick in soft conditions. It was a hard race but has been given a 42 day break to recover and is poised to complete the hat trick in a big and competitive filed, the 5/1 looks good after winning his last two races at 12/1 and 7/1. Got hampered at the first by a faller and was never in the race until trying to chase home towards the end running past tired horses

Wendel can make his experience pay despite top weight in the Aintree 1.10, looking at the opposition to oppose him there are too many cracks against them, so if all is well he should put them away with ease.

The Sawyer nearly took today’s Nap selection in the Aintree 12.35, looking at past form in today’s ground conditions he has an outstanding chance and considering his morning price of 8/1 he looks a value bet, Will Kennedy can get his head in front with good jumping bound to make all the difference at the end. going ok when unseating rider.

For Bill is unbeaten and with a couple of useful horses against him today can still progress to win this in what looks a good race. 7/2 looks tempting about him. WON 11/4

The bookies will have ringing in their ears

Saturday 21st November 2009

Ring The Boss and tell him you have a winner

Fingers crossed the rain does not cancel Ascot and Haydock as the site has some cracking bet recommendations for today.

The ground at Ascot is heavy and that will suit Fix The Rib who has excellent course form and with a recent pipe opener should be spot on for a nice win.

Over from Ireland, Schindlers Hunt has been knocking on the door but his trip over can finally come good with a nice prize to take back home. He will relish the ground when others have cried enough.

River Ripples looks good in the 12.55.

At Haydock Ring The Boss looks the one and is today’s Nap, he drinks the mud in and has sluiced up when plenty of mud is flying, he will be hard to stop so get on.

Notre Pere from Ireland can lower the colours of Champion Kauto Star, despite falling last time out Notre Pere will find some early season cracks in the Nicholls horse.

Simon can bounce back to form after slipping down the ratings, he goes well in mud and can land some good odds for us.

Today’s selections

Ascot

12.20 Arkose

12.55 River Ripples

1.30 Ravello Bay

2.05 Fix The Rib

Jered to score and set big plans for the season!  NAP WINS AT 11/4

All eyes will be on Champion Chaser Master Minded who should win his race bit alas the odds will be well cramped, however it will be a joy to watch a true champion in action.

Jered needs to quickly get his act into gear otherwise big plans for the season will no doubt have to be re considered. The site is confident he is primed to do himself justice and gets the Nap vote at Punchestown.

7/1 Nap to win the Power

13th November 2009

Bally to dance way over rivals today in Power!

A good looking card at Cheltenham today where the site is keen on the chances of Ballyfitz in the Paddy Power. A liking for the Cheltenham course is a massive bonus backed up with a liking for soft and good jumping plus early season form, today’s Nap as a top chance of landing the near £86,000 first prize for his trainer Nigel Twiston-Davies. Paddy Brennan is in the plate and gets on well with his mount. The 7/1 looks a cracking bet and must be well supported to do the business over some useful rivals.

Maljimar is a very useful horse on his day and he if he can get the 3miles 3f trip in the 1.55 he will take some beating.

Consigliere can do with the pipe opener

It’s the first day of three of the Cheltenham OPEN meeting at Prestbury Park and the site is looking forward to some nice success over the course of the meeting.

Strawberry is a gutsy little horse who has done the site some big favours in the past and under Henderson can go close in the first despite having to lump a big weight over three miles. Getting Strawberry jumping in a rhythm is the key and providing Amateur Mr Ben Brisbourne can do so then he is in for a treat of a ride.

In the third race, Consigliere carries the sites Nap selection and if David Pipe has his runners in good early season form, jockey Tom Scudamore can bring his mount home against some useful sorts which include likely main danger Tramantano.

Be sure to look out for tomorrow nights update as the site has some good news.

Today’s selections

Legend to shine at Esher

Saturday 7th November 2009

Just Call Me A Legend

Paul Nicholls has got a habit of kicking off his season in style at Wincanton and the site reckons he could well clean up in every race with Ruby Walsh on board. Combination bets is a must with prices taken if you can get them.

Today’s Nap runs at Sandown Park where Call Me A Legend can go one better than his seasonal runner up place 179 days ago. With rain forecast as well, the official going of Good will not hinder him should a bit of soft appear in a changed going.

Palomar at Kelso looks a good bet with soft going to his liking as well.

Enjoy the Fresh Air today

Some brief news today concerning two runners for Thursday 5th November 2009. Today's Nap runs at Haydock in the 1.55 where Fresh Air And Fun can contiune on from the good form he shoed last campaign. Expect a bold show at decent 3/1 odds. pulled up

Next best news is from Ireland where Whatuthink under Barry Geraghty can get his head in front at the thrid time of asking this term, his previous two placed efforts should make him go cloase today, at 4/1 the selection looks a good bet. WON 9/4

Sea to show his rivals he is back to his best

Saturday 31st October 2009

Plenty of noise about Tranquil

Ascot holds an half decent meeting today but in general it is pretty average stuff with the back end of the flat and the beginning of the National Hunt proper crossing over. Hopkins was a well touted talent a couple of seasons ago and he is an interesting runner in the 1.50. Watch the betting and if good enough support is shown then spare a little wager as it could prove rewarding.

Bangkok Pete in the last comes with a bit of a reputation so will need to take this if better plans are expected to unfold later in the season.

Today’s Nap runs at Naas where Tranquil Sea is expected to run better than his seasonal run.

NAP WINS AT 6/4 FROM 5/2

Bill to show more Punch

Wednesday 28th October 2009

Watch out for the Old Bill today

Punchestown holds a nice looking meeting today with a few good uns out on display. Today’s Nap selection runs in the last race at the Irish meeting where unbeaten For Bill can continue on the upgrade, he has the useful Flemenscall to contend with but the Michael Winters trained runner can make his experience count.

NAP WINS AT 4/6 FROM 6/4

At Haydock Gunslinger catches the eye and can go one better than his second place debut. Donna Elvira looks good in the Kempton 6.20.
